Originally called Redcoat and owned by the British Army
Later bought by Stuart MacDonald and renamed Red Alert she was based at Largs in Scotland. Stuart raced her extensively in the Clyde, Scotland, competing in many Scottish Series and also Cork Week. Stuart raced her single-handed accross the Atlantic in the 2000 OSTAR.
She was sold to Gerry Hughes, who took her solo accross the Atlantic again in 2005, this time renamed Quest II. The full story of Gerry's exploits can be read on Gerry's website.
